Emily Irene VanCamp initially aspired to be a professional performer, but became interested after visiting Katie in the Ladies Room film set. She began to take acting classes and simultaneously landed roles as a guest on a TV show in her native Canada. She's appeared on a variety of shows, including Are You afraid of The Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career following his appearance as regular Sam Dolan on the WB horror-themed mystery series Glory Days. It was cancelled after 9 episodes and despite receiving positive ratings. The May 12 1986 actress from the United States quickly secured a second part on Everwood as one of its main cast Amy Abbott. The role she played in the film brought her four Teen Choice Awards nominations and a Young Artist Award.
